I was stuck in Frank Ocean's Channel Orange. This is a good alternative I guess. :)

I'm definitely hearing a sample of the Jacksons' "This Place Hotel" 's bass line

That's because there are people trying (and succeeding) to brainwash young generations with other types of music... If you hear a shit song everyday on the radio.. you will eventually know it by heart and maybee even stop disliking it.. Sadly, the music industrie knows this and uses this to shove all kinds of crap trough ower throats.. And deprive us of great works if we do not put effort in finding the good stuff for ower selves.

This song is FRESHHH. It really hits home. Yes, Bilal is under appreciated by the industry and deserves to be highly paid for his talent without feeling like he has to follow the path of "neo-soul", R&B or pop genres. Bilal just IS! My only dig is this played out retro early 60s look he must've allowed some stylist to talk him into. It was played out 2 years ago with Raphael Saadiq on his last album, so I'm surprised to see it resurfacing. Can't stand fads!!! Bilal is still the SHIT, tho!
