the story behind this song means so much more to me than you know. there are parts of this song that are my life and parts of this song makes my heart go out to those who cant be with their families. I lost my dad to a stroke but this song is my life. because in my mind the war he was fighting was the stroke and life in general and God took him to stop fighting. I wish his home was here and not in heaven but he is there bc God is in control.

this song makes me cry. my fiance has been gone the past two years during christmas due to being in the marines. i miss him everyday that he's in afghanistan. i know he's missing everyone too but i hope one day we'll get just one christmas together.

This song means alot to all of the men and women who can not be with their families do to this war and the cost of freedom. I salute all of my fellow service members who gladly go and serve our country. but lets not forget that our families sacrifices.
