I've listened to this song for over 30 years. I still get chills. And the Stuart singing "take that look out of here, it doesn't fit you". Cry out for everything. I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered. In 1983 a song was written and recorded that will forever be important. Stay alive.

Awful statement Austin. Shame on you presuming to know anything about Stuart or his family.I'd rather comment on the music, which we can hear and the performances we can still see.To me, in 1984, this song was remarkable. It changed my life, for the better. How amazing is that? My mind opened a lot after BC, even though I was pretty open before. I realized that poetry and legend and anthem and challenge and innovation can all be woven into a song with guitars and bass and drums. I bet there are many out there that heard 'Inwards' or 'Steeltown' and thought, like me, "wow". This is something special.

Stuart Adamson seemed like a very nice guy. So sad that he died before his time.

This is the song that got my wife and I together, in 1984. NEVER forget it, the greatest.
