Beyond The Veil By Fear Of God from their album : Toxic Voodoo (Pavement

January 8th, 1994)

lyrics: Beyond the Veil (Lyrics: Crosby; Music: Michael)

Remember the night that you left me

Battered and so all alone

What was the force

Did possess me

And taking me so far beyond?

So far beyond

Beyond

Beyond the veil

Beyond

Beyond the veil

Remember the power

Of darkness

Remember the strength of my will

And nothing on earth's gonna stop me

Once I am homed in for the kill

Beyond

Beyond the veil

Beyond

Beyond the veil

Yeah...

Like the unholy alliance

Between the moth and the flame

The winds of destruction still call you

You still hear them calling your name

Beyond

Beyond the veil

Beyond

Beyond the veil

So far beyond

Beyond

Beyond the veil

Beyond

Beyond the veil

Line-up:

Dawn Crosby

Michael Carlino

Blair Darby

Steve Cordova

Fear of God was a thrash metal / progressive metal band that evolved out of the lineup of Détente with female vocalist Dawn Crosby.

Their style is comparable to that of Anacrusis, a technical, unique-sounding, sinister mix of Death-, Thrash-, and Progressive Metal with a wide variety of vocal styles.

The Album Within the Veil (Warner Bros., 1990) has become a rare collectors piece by now.

The band was celebrated in the metal underground for their avant-garde sound, yet the band history found a tragic end when vocalist Dawn Crosby died in consequence of her long alcohol abuse problem.

Been looking for this album (Beyond the Veil) for ages; I've owned Within the Veil since I found it used back in 1994. Just discovered Beyond the Veil at Amazon's MP3 store, so now I finally own that, too!

It's a rare occurrence for me to find a thrash metal band I've never heard of, especially one held in such high regard. This is by no means an album I'd be gyrating and breaking my neck while listening to, but it is certainly interesting to say the least.
