I personally like that she paid tribute to Whitney Houston with WH's biggest hit, I'll Always Love You, many people can sing this hit song better than Whitney (younger lungs, no abuse with cigarettes that's why) could sing it after her comeback after all the heroine/drugs she took and the autopsy showed her voice was affected because of cigarettes. So what better way to pay tribute to Whitney Houston than to sing this song, if anything it highlights that Beyonce is living a cleaner life no heroine and cigarettes for her, also she's younger, if we look at Mariah Carey, her biggest hits which are real power ballads she is struggling she has to put so much effort and she doesn't smoke or take drugs, its the lungs they aren't as young as they were, so she's bound to be affected, but she tries her hardest and I respect her for it, because she goes through a lot to keep her voice as good as it can be, no talking for 2 days before each performance, to rest her voice. Many would just give up and stop singing like Whitney did and just enjoy her life with drugs but when the money finishes what happens you go back to singing and unfortunately the voice is not there anymore to sing your biggest hits and you have to rely on new material and everyone blames you for losing your voice, incl.fans. So Beyonce can sing I'll Always Love You and many younger artists can hit the right notes that Whitney used to hit in the 90's.

Ok,so Beyoncé on a 'bad'night (according to some), is still way better than any other act out there. We are lucky to witness and enjoy such talent from such a beautiful and graceful lady, just enjoy it.

So annoying how people assume that every artist that covers a Whitney Houston song is "trying" to be Whitney, or trying to be BETTER than Whitney... grow up, i's a cover and not intended to compete with Whitney in any way, and whether you believe one is better than the other is obviously subjective and based on personal preference.
