I first heard this wonderful song on KTTR 1490 Rolla,Mo. Bob McKune station manager in 1971/72 loved the song. He even played Were Free to spite the fact the station owner the late Luther Martin was a minister. Today few stations Remember this jewel of a one hit wonder. In the Dallas Metroplex KEOM 88.5 FM remembers it and many more like it. As the late Dr. Ralph Poteet who founded Keom in 1984 used to say "Your Listening to Mesquite Schools Radio 88.5 Fm KEOM Mesquite Texas!" Today as they say Family,Friends, and Fun!

Last night I just found a song that come out around the same time as Beverly's that you fans may like and find very interesting. Some of you may even remember this song for a very brief time when it come out in '71. The lead singer of the group from the 'Original Caste' sounds very much like Beverly. They had some good songs back in the day too. If you get a chance look up an OC song called 'When Love Is Near' posted by Rock & Pops Good Music.
