I'd never heard of this song until a couple of weeks ago, but Betty Hutton's performance is absolutely delightful.

He says Murder, he says! Is that the language of Love? ---Sad but this awesome generation is dying out. I am sad to see you all go. The best generation? I am inclined to believe it's true, and you guys will be missed!

I love Betty too!! In fact I love the whole era from 1930-1950+ with amazing music, stars and style. But Betty Hutton is just too fantastic for words. It's too bad she was given so little respect by paramount. When Betty was loaned to MGM for AGYG, to replace Judy Garland, she was treated horribly. From what I have read, Betty was never allowed to forget about Judy and just be herself. And yet I consider her performance in AGYG the best thing she ever did.
