I saw her play at the O2 Arena tonight in London-last performance of the UK tour. This song completely brought the house down & had my friend & me in tears. It was a profound & deeply emotional performance. She is so incredibly generous of soul & spirit, authentic, pure ,& also with that brilliant raunchy humor. A legend. A true diva ,& a light healer. Deep respect.

I saw the show twice in NYC. The first time I heard the key change - I wasn't sure what I thought of it. However, in the second time hearing it - it gave the song more drama and more build so power to Bette. (Oh, and L. Bragg is an asshole so what the hell.)

I was there and this song brought down the house. Every singer has to change arrangements as their voice changes. Every. Singer. It's absurd to expect Bette to sound like she did in 1979. She still gives 100% vocally and emotionally. I thought she sounded fantastic.
