@howdycaptain63 the first 3 albums, 2 of which were made with Bulter, are their best albums, but i've seen too much people thinking Suede is just Butler, or that Suede aren't good without him. The whole thing about Suede was always Brett, in my opinion. Of course Butler contributed a lot, as well as Oakes, but i think Brett has been the main creative force of the band all along

@sonicadv27 As for suedes decline I would personally blame crack cocaine and the overall creative apathy that sets in when one has been there and done that. the oakes thing was very good for suede at the time and suede fans who got to see their heroes doing better than ever before. i just prefer the music they made in the butler years, think it had more artistic merit
