I really hate how Bell doesn't feel any of the songs she sings. And she continues too sing the same way all the time . . . since there is no understanding of the song in her mind she is never going to do anything special with it or ever sound like she means every word. Bell is just Sound that can carry words without a care. She can even ruin "You are so beautiful - Joe Cocker" no matter how many words are in that song the feeling of loving someone to the point it cant be contained in words is what it means to sing the hell out of that song. Bell is not going to be a Bon Iver either. Bell, isn't ever going to learn to feel words if shes never in a dark place, or write anything dear to her heart. I say this based on how sad it makes me to see such a hallow singer only use the tone of voice too get somewhere in music. Being compared to Adel is a massive understatement, Adel earned her own Fame and is many things (annoying or not she still sings better than other people). More than Bell.Bell wont make a impact in the music world. People will love her but she isn't a Music Artist in the slightest. Sorry.

Usually I think the opposite for people but she needs to try less on her voice when she sings slower songs like this her almost is too hard to do slower songs but maybe if she tried a stronger song

Her audition was something to hear. . . Skinny Love>>>Her voice was beautiful and they should have chosen songs like that for her. there were a lot of wrong song choices. This one is not a bad song for her but the sadder songs suit her voice better.

She butchered this song, this isn't a pop diva tune trying to masquerade as a ballad, it is ballad, period. The vocal range and power of voice needed to pull this off she does not have. Check out "arms of an angel" vocal cover by jennifer gamble, (it's shadow0417) Then you'll hear the way it should be done.

I feel like the first audition is always the best performance they do- Before the production team gets their claws into them and turns them into highly stylized divas with the makeup and clothes and sequins (especially the women), and messes with their voices. They try to make them show off their voices by doing all this weird wavering stuff. They have them hamming for the camera, and dressing the way they want them to dress... I dunno. It's like they take away some of their "real-ness", some of their individuality. And I prefer a performance without all the crazy lights and dancers and sets... I love seeing the first auditions, when they look like real people, dressed the way they like, not scripted or coached to be a certain way, where it's just them and the stage without distracting bells and whistles. I LOVED Bella's first audition, but as they changed her, I liked her less. Anyone else notice this with these shows?
