I cried when I got to this video. Adam as been through hell and back and his music is what helped him. He is such a strong person and he will have my respect until the day I die. He's saved lives and inspired others. Three Days Grace or not, Adam Gontier is the strongest person I've ever seen...

I'm 13, so I don't understand this very much, can someone help me understand something? I understand why people start drugs (peer presure, curiosity, etc). And I know its addicting. But if its sooooo bad, what makes them (the people using the drugs) crave more and more. I know its addicting...maybe my question is why its addicting...maybe. It just confuses me...

He left. He didn't take his stuff back. He's reached out and they hadn't replied to his calls. Get YOUR facts straight.

What belongings are you talking about? Adam left 3DG, they didn't kick him out and kept his guitars or anything. Get your facts straight

I never had an issue with drugs, but their album One-X came out during a hard time in my life. I was dealing with severe depression, anger, just overall unhappiness. Their music helped in a time when I needed to feel like I wasn't alone, like there was a way out. Thank you, Three Days Grace!

Nice video, been a Three Days Grace for 3 years and a few months, they're music always had much meaning to me and i think all theguys from the band have great talent and Adam surely was strong enough to survive his addiction, Three Days Grace lyrics aren't just fictional stories.

Life isn't good, but it's still fair. We've all got a chance to turn our life around if we wanted to.Adam's got that chance and he grab it so as not to let it escape. All the people around him were holding him love and that's just very touching.Adam I think you realized that chance you've got!...you were certainly a model for everyone that were in the same situation as you.All your real fans supported you and so does your family. We all love you!

Adam, you are a true inspiration. I adore you, and can't ever get over what a beautiful man you are. I don't mean that you're good looking, though you are, I mean that you have a beautiful soul. I love your music, and how you give back to your fans and commiunty. You're an incredible man, truely and honestly. Nobody can disagree with that if they really know anything about you. I'd be honored to meet you one day.

You know, I get how people get into drugs. It's very easy to understand. But I don't get why would someone want to get out of it rather than die. When I imagine hitting the rock bottom, I don't feel any need to get up again, I just want to die. But I never had much life spirit, and other people are different.. so that's the key I guess:) I look up to these people a lot. But the last record is pretty much on the same note. Still very painful to listen to. Which is obvious.. I guess. Once again.

@bettercomestomorrow thank you so much, you are absolutely right. I am still struggling with the addiction, as I am prescribed the meds for back pain, but I am getting pain injections soon that will have me off the meds for good. I can't wait to not have to rely on a tiny pill to make my day better.

I'm currently struggling with an Oxycodone addiction, and the fact that one of my favorite bands' lead has gone through it and gotten out of it gives me hope.
