The whole Saturday Night Fever film and soundtrack was a phenomenon when I was a kid. I loved it and I'm still amazed at how fresh this song still sounds after all of these years ( check out Youtube dance video RAMON HART'S PERFORMANCE OF A LIFETIME ).

I've known about the extended "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever" for at least ten years. A good friend of mine who was a DJ had a neighbor who had been a rep for RSO Records. A shame the longer versions haven't been in wider circulation. Same tunes, but more of 'em!

Its on the promo 12" from the movie that also has the extended Nightfever. However it is also found on a recent best CD that has the 7 min extended version.
