This was the unreleased album generally known as A Kick in the Head Is Worth Eight in the Pants but at first known as The Bee Gees Album.
The songs must have been completed by the first week of November, because two reels with the 16-track masters of each side are dated November 6. Oddly, this is more than two weeks before the date for the Life in a Tin Can masters. So, they had two complete albums awaiting release by the end of November 1972. Interestingly and uncharacteristically, there are no known outtakes from any of this work in Los Angeles.

This version is much more "country" than the version that was the single B-side, although that version has much more of the old Bee Gees' drama. I put both versions in my "BG's YWIMC+" playlist. Thanks for the upload!9 years ago

Thank you so much for putting this video together and publishing this amazing song for us to enjoy. In my view, this is one of their very great achievements. The great Robin Gibb's vocal is astounding. His emotion is lacerating, as usual, but he seems to have been experimenting with different sounds - way higher register than he usually sang in, and the gruff sound is great. He was a great artist, with such creative vision that he deserved several lifetimes to get it all out. 9 years ago

A versão que saiu no álbum Mr Natural Brasileiro, que é mais completa, com guitarras, arranjo e vocais mais encorpados é a mesma que esta na coleção de CDs Tales From The Brothers Gibb. Esta sua versão acredito ser uma versão mais trabalhada do que a que é demo do não lançado Kick in the head.10 years ago

Existe a versão do álbum não lançado Kick in The Head, muito parecida com esta do post, porém menos trabalhada na edição. Tem a versão lançada somente na América do Sul no Álbum Mr Natural, como bônus. A versão do LP brasileiro é muito mais rica em detalhes de vocais e instrumentação. E agora a deste post que é diferente de todas, o piano é totalmente limpo. Os vocais são totalmente claros. Esta versão deste post é diferente das duas que tenho.10 years ago

Não , Tiberio , o Album Mr Natural não possui essa música, excepto pelo single que acompanhou Mr Natural no Lado A, sendo que essa canção é somente o lado B.. o album que me refiro nas descrições é a kick in the head is worth eight in the pants .. lembra aquele album não realizado?
