Those were Vince Melouney & Colin Petersen, the ex-members, in that picture. The melody of this song was obviously influencedby The Beatles but I like their old sound better than today.

Have this from Brilliant from Birth. That CD is so rare now, I'm glad I got it.

Well they were about 15 or 16 at the time and they had the worst recording conditions you could imagine. I think the structure and vocals are quite impressive.

Wrong on so many levels...back-up band sounds they're on different planets..esp. the drummer..

sounds like the beatles "when there was you" and "not a second time" plus dave clark fives "all of the time" ..... all jumbled into one song ..... not all of the song ... but in certain parts.

The very first time I listened to this song was in 1970, my sister had the Bee Gees' first and several other Bee Gees records, I have been a loyal fan thereafter... This was a great song, and I thank you for posting!!!!!

Idleracer couldn't have said it best. I completely agree. Thank you VERY VERY much, VCS1990.

This is probably my favorite of all the Festival era stuff. The Bee Gees at their most Beatlesque. They essentially took "She Loves You," "It Won't Be Long" and "Not A Second Time" and morphed all three of them into one song. Then they threw in a bit of distortion to remind folks that it's 1966 and not 1963. They should've made this the A-side.
