I actually heard this version first on FM radio in Detroit, before Stevie Wonder released his version. I always wondered if Beck, Bogert & Appice released this as a single if it would have been a hit. I think it would.

Just a note, Jeff Beck created the original drum beat while he was in the studio with Stevie Wonder.

Stevie Wonder wrote this song for these guys but released it himself with the lyrics he wrote. Seems someone lost their copy of the lyrics so they just sang what they remembered and added what they wanted. Though I think Stevie Wonder is a musical genius I just love what Beck, Bogart and Appice did with any and every song they ever did. Might just be my opinion but who else's opinion do you think matters to me?...

I spent many a HIGH moment to this LP back in the day. America was a great place in the 70s. People kept their noses to themselves and not picking through your shit to see what you ate for dinner last night. It was a great time, long lost to time and progress I guess.........What a shame!
