It's from an obscure Whoopi Goldberg movie called "The Telephone". Yes, by Bruce and Terry. It's not a great song (sappy Bruce), but they should have put it on "Still Cruisin'" instead of the stuff they did put there (particularly the hideous "Wipeout").

@BeachBoysGuy1 I agree about Carl. This song would have been much worse without Carl's voice on it. Too bad they didn't release it without Little Richard. I liked the early Little Richard stuff, but this wasn't his cup of tea. And, yes, Carl could sing the phone book........etc. :-)

It is worth overlooking some of the MOR content and performances and lyrics, just Carl sing it. Like has been said before, he made the phone book sound good. If he sang the phone book, I would buy it LOL

Very Bruce Johnston-like. Didn't surprise me when I realized he and Terry co-wrote it. Surreal, but I think the song itself is wonderful.

The video may be surreal, but the track is lovely, esp. Carl's vocal contribution and the chorus harmonies. Little Richard is a little OTT, though.

This is like something you'd dream after eating a big meal at Taco Bell at 2 a.m. Surreal, bizarre, and not in a good way.
