He was one of my first influences musically. His early stuff i still love. They just dont make them like that anymore. There are cheap imitations, thats about it. His art could be political, it could be funny, it was always emotional. Some was pioneering. He could play 3 slow notes on ol lucille that no guitar player on the planet could replicate. An ethereal dynamic of soft and loud notes with mythical vibrato. This white boy is grateful. Long live the king.
