If rumours are to be believed then it was a woman that was the cause of the falling out (again) between Peter Murphy and Daniel Ash. I thought it was all going a bit too well, with Murphy presenting Ash with one of Jimi Hendrix's effects units. Personally feel the album more than lived up to expectations despite being a little demo like in places but then it was recorded in 10 days with minimal overdubs. Was it reasonable to expect as classic a Bauhaus track as "The dog's a vapour"?13 years ago

I saw Peter Murphy last year and he did this song in his setlist. Unfortunately, Bauhaus is one of those bands that set a standard that affected a lot of other greats (helping them become what they are) but they never achieved the success they deserve. Great song.
