"Friday Night (Is Killing Me)" by Bash & Pop, from the album Friday Night Is Killing Me (1993).

Lyrics:

Couldn't come much easier

And gone in a flash

Couldn't take my breath away

Never got it back from France

I stayed so calm

You know I stayed too long until now

There's a thousand fleeting moments

In a hundred lives

You never said hello

I never said goodbye

It looks like rain

I feel you like a hurricane

But you're golden age

And I was born too late

It's a long way back to nowhere they say

Friday night is killing me

And your hair and smoke it got you close to nothing

Friday night sure won't be the same again

The casualty is Sunday losin' us

Friday night is killing me

Your last sigh that goes on by

And no one hears you tonight

Everything you thought Tuesday

And you couldn't say

You know they'll suck you dry

It's only a matter of time

I'll take your place

Hey I'll take your life

And when I used it up I trade it back for mine

You take my hand

And cover up your eyes

No, no, there's no war to wage

It's hard to make front page now

Your warning sign's just a sigh and a thought

Friday night Is killing me

Wore out the shoes

They've got you on the run

Friday night sure won't be the same again

The casualty of Sunday losin' us

Friday Night

Friday Night

Friday night is killing me

And I don't wanna die

I've always wanted to learn this song on guitar- too bad I'm such a hack I cant figure it out. I remember buying this when it first came out back in the day. Loved it. One of those great records that only a handful of people ever heard.

Paul's Stereo/Mono is head and shoulders better than Tommy and Chris' solo stuff, hell it's better than half of the Mats records. If you haven't heard it, I highly recommend. Come feel me tremble is very good, also.

Everytime I hear this song it takes me back to that era. I was in college at the time. AND it's timeless, too. Just phenomenal.

hey watup fellow bash and pop enthusiasts. im tryin to spread bash and pop awareness. theres no tabs for b&p online so ive taken it upon myself to do it. check out (ultimate guitar archive) for my friday night tab. so check out the site for my quality hand crafted tab. hopefully we get some aspiring artist to check it out and do live covers, spread the b&p love. like this coment if ur into my awareness idea, so that any guitarist who glances at this can learn where to find b&p tabs. rock on

I've got nothin' against nobody, but yeah, it's surprising now that the best music created post-Mats was Tommy with Bash and Pop/Perfect and the first Chris Mars album... then I guess maybe 14 Songs...

I think the line is: Wore out the shoes, they've got you on the run. Or something like that.
