Basement had a really great record come out in 2011 called "I Wish I Could Stay Here". I was a huge fan of it so when the band announced they were breaking up after one last US tour, I wanted to get them in for a session. By their own account, the guys had never performed the songs acoustically ever and never will again. Very stoked they trusted me enough to film this, so here you go "Yoke".

Gasping for air, choking on my indecision.Hide me in my room and forget me.I'm sorry, if you want to know the truth. This is me against the world. Is my mother happy? is my father proud?Hide me in my room, but forgive me.

I saw them the 19th and it was literally everything. They sound better than the record live & the encore they played this song. Most amazing thing I've ever heard in my life.

This is deep man, I mean, sitting on the stairs next to those decrepit walls. Facing opposite ways. Damn.
