My name is Jordyn...and this is my story. When I was in 5th grade I was bullied. Not the kind of bullying that involved bruises...unless you count the emotional bruises. Now my bullying wasn't THAT bad compared to the many others I've seen and heard of but to me it'll always be bad. When I was younger I'll admit that I wasn't the nicest person. But years of torment (I was bullied the year before too) and going back and forth between parents does that to you. Now because of this I was forced to move alot. New school. New friends. New life. It was like the school before never even existed. In the middle of 4th grade I was forced to leave my school. My mom and step-dad couldn't afford to live there anymore so we had to move....and I wasn't so happy about that. That school had all my friends. And when we moved....I still wasn't very happy. At my new school I was, I guess, considered the weird girl. Unlike the other kids that would go play on the playground after lunch, I would stay inside and help clean up after everybody...and mabye sing a little. So basically my only friend was the cafeteria moniter...I know sad, right? But after a while I became friends with a boy and a girl in 3rd grade( a year younger than me). I stopped cleaning the lunch room and started playing on the playground. And I guess others didn't like that. So that's when the bullying started. It was this group of boys who were in my grade. But it was mostly this certain boy. He would torment me. Wherever I go he was there laughing at me. And over time it got worse. I couldn't really tell anybody. I mean what would they do? If they told him to stop he would....and then just start again. Then he got suspended. And all was fine. Barley. And before I knew it, it was 5th grade and I was at a new school. I was put in the accelerated class for some reason. Then the bullying started again. It was a cycle. They bullied me, I told on them, and they didn't get in trouble. But when I got angry and stood up for myself I got in trouble. I didn't understand this concept. It was like no matter what I do, it always happenes again...and I hated that. Now I just finished 7th grade and I'm not bullied as much. But my reason for posting this was not to tell you my pathetic sob story but to raise the question of why. Why do people do this to others. To the bullied they are evil. To the bulliers friends they are nice. Why is that. Why is it that instead of them wanting everone to say that they're nice and say they're good friends, they want those certain people to cry in the very presence of them. I just don't understand how they take pride in another person terror. Mabye something happened to them. Mabye they were bullyed. Mabye the have fighting parents. Mabye they don't have parents. And I'm not saying just because these things might have happened to them ,it makes it okay for them to do this to others. And I know that by posting this I'm not gonna make a difference....many people with bigger and better words have tried many times before me and yet bullying still happens.....I know this but still...I just wanted to say this even though I know its not gonna do any good. Thank you for those who have read my comment and I hope you have the strength to stand up to bullying. Whether or not its you or someone else.
