Its ironic, i was in a band (Nashville Teens )in the early 60`s.and we covered this song ) great song. Then i was drafted into the USMC, ( i`m British....long story ) did 2 tours of Viet-Nam ( very popular that made me!!). so fast forward to now, and in a band, and a member said "have you ever heard of this song (eve of destruction), so i sat down and played and sang the complete thing, accompanied myself on bass, chords and all, got to the end and felt it all well up inside me............nothing has f*****g changed, how very very sad!!So now this song is back in the set, you just never know, anyway it goes down well with Portuguese and Spanish crowds!!!prob have no idea wot we`re on about??
