This is just a great, obscure song from Barry Manilow in the 90s, an unreleased demo that I didn't see on YT ... it's a very touching song, and I think people will like it. NOTE: I don't own any rights to this song.

Vikki Carr does this song in two versions, English and a Spanish version, both arranged by the co-writer, Artie Butler, both beautiful versions.

One of the best songs I heard from Barry.

My suicide song is already chosen - so my odds of replacing "Once Upon a Time" by Tony Bennett can not be altered. If I had heard this first, my dirge might have been otherwise. Ironically, such is life.

I love the "Tryin' to Get the Feeling" picture! What a classic icon from the 70s!

How kind of you to reply. Your original post was so touching. I wouldn't wish this kind of grief on anyone, but it does help to know someone else has loved as deeply as you. I sing in my church choir and though it took a while before I could return, the members were very supportive. You're right, Joe. Faith is very important. My sweetheart had multiple medical issues and he fought each one with incredible courage. I prayed and prayed through each one. I must admit, when he passed, I was angry. Why God? He was such a good husband and father! Why? But I knew that, with time, my anger would pass, and it did. But I still miss him, Joe. I always will. People tell me to remember the good times. But, they were all good times - yes, even through the illnesses - because we were together. What I wouldn't give just to feel his hand in mine again.! Take care of yourself, Joe. God Bless You . Grace

Recorded in 1984. Could have fit in with "Paradise Cafe", but didn't show up on disc until his 1992 boxed set. At that time, Barry was both between projects and record labels; Arista's new owners dropped him from the roster and he ended up at RCA for a couple of years.
