@UserNameForYeeTube: No problem, I guess it's just a misunderstanding. I didn't mean Barren Earth sounds like Enslaved or Katatonia - it doesn't. But this video visually reminds me of those I mentioned in my first comment. Check 'em out, I think you'll know what I mean. :) And yeah I heard old Amorphis and you're right, it's probably the sound Barren Earth relates to the most. Somehow still reminds me of Scar Symmetry's "Pitch Black Progress". All in all it's not bad, but not special either.14 years ago

@corpsus1 when I write "I haven´t heard such good music from Finland since..." that is absolutely not meant the way you are interpreting it, quiet the contrary!!! I love music from Finland and I have been there many times, this is exactly why I am happy to hear such good music from this great country among others. I also like other great bands like: Children of Bodom, Amorphis, Ghost Brigade, Insomnium, etc...don´t be so touchy, me intention was actually a compliment rather than discriminating!14 years ago

@78morgoth You said "I haven't head such good music from Finland since..." Maybe my analogy was not the finest one, but that statement is more appropriate for countries like USA and Canada... North Europe is unable to create good music from "time to time". But then again maybe you don't know that many good bands from Finland... And it seems to me you are not familiar to Finland's black metal scene. It's not your fault i guess, but it's not an excuse either!14 years ago
