Sorry, I hear influence from Blue Album and Pinkerton. It's not the only inspiration, obviously, but it does sound like early Weezer, at least to me and ihaveallseeingeyes. You're not wrong to say it sounds like 70s rock as well; I mean, Weezer itself sounds like 70s rock more than 80s rock or other 90s rock. But it's my clear comparison point, and it's one I really enjoy being able to make. :)

If you grab yourself the blue album named "Weezer" from '94, it's probably the most similar. There's bits of My Name Is Jonas, The Sweater Song, and some of the songs on their next album, Pinkerton.

Yes, the new Baroness pretty much is Weezer influenced.I realize that everytime i listen to early Weezer songs. Wich is VERY good in my oppinion. These guys have a great music taste.
