To be more specific, this is an arberesh song. They are Albanians that left the Albanian land in the 15th century after the Ottoman occupation and they immigrated in the south of Italy. Something remarkable about this amazing people is that they have conserved the language as it was spoken by that time (now with a bit of italian influence) and after 6 centuries they still sing to they beloved land that they were forced to leave behind. I met some personally and is just funny to hear them speak that old Albanian language. Great people! :D8 years ago

Gli arberesh cantano fino ai giorni nostri questa ed altri stupendi canti della loro terra d'origine,albania odierna. Sono i veri albanesi. Non dimentichiamo che dopo la loro partenza arberia ( albania ) si svuotò ed i conquistatori ottomani riempirono il vuoto con popolazioni dal' oriente.
