Barbra Streisand never, ever appeared in "Cats". I remember when Barbra flew to London to see the show. (I saw the show 6 times as part of my "Customer Entertaining" role at Thames TV. I was aiming to see "Cats" nine times to copy the number of lives that cats have - lol). Barbra visited the show to hear the song "Memory" and to understand it and the show's story-line. Barbra went on to record the song. I believe Barbra's version of "Memory" became more popular than Elaine Page's, who was the original "Grizabella" in "Cats" and "Memory" was Elaine's solo song. I am sorry Flashdance - but you are TOTALLY WRONG! Whoever told you your information ought to get their facts right.

I took my mama to see Kats in 1986 at the Brady Theater in Tulsa....this masterpiece makes me cry every time I hear it. Barbra does it with ease and one can actually understand what the words are in her version. Thank you for posting this!!
