Celine's version makes this sound bad, even though this version isn't bad at all. Songs just don't sound right after getting translated. I may not understand any of the French lyrics but they are understandable through the emotions behind the singers voice.

I listened to Celine Dion's live version of this, and then came to this rendition by Barbra Streisand.Preferences are, of course, subjective, but to my ear, Streisand's performance borders on second-rate.
