Barbara is a brilliant singer. Such a relaxed technique. Her voice is so soothing and calming. Not an ounce of strain on her face when she sings. And her voice matches the sentiment beautifully. Effortlessly expressing regret and reflection. Barbara Dickson has the knack of singing songs that suit her and sticks to what she's best at.

Saw her at The Everyman in Liverpool way back when (JPGR&Bert). Quite a soundtrack, but she carried it all the way. Another Liverpool connection - The Searchers do a beautiful version of this song, saw them do it in Ontario where it always goes down very well. Even better in Alberta!

Kenrew, Absolutely brilliant! I first heard this in the 60s by Bobby Bare and it has always been a favourite, and of course the great Neil Young had a hit with it, but this version by Barbara is something else. How mellow her voice is now, and perfect for this sort of material..Surely this song is a must for the new album; whenever that comes out. FAB - U - LOUS.
