Mar 2012 - Jesse Rock (left) & Norbert Hebert (right) play "Dill Pickles Rag" on tenor banjos during a practice on our snowy deck (with the help of a green screen). "Dill Pickles Rag" was written by Charles L. Johnson.

This is the 1st banjo video that gives a glimpse of the beautiful place where the Rock family lives! Even though our family lives in a very small house, the Lord has blessed us with a large, magnificent view!

Thank you for all the great comments you made recently on the rag videos I filmed of Norbert and my son Jesse! Yes, this video was green screened. If you are interested in seeing more green screen videos, just go to the home page on my channel and scroll to the bottom of the page where it says "Playlists". The 4th playlist is called "BANJO Music ~ GREEN SCREEN Videos". Thanks again for watching and commenting! ~Lynne

I'm so glad to hear that you had fun backing up Jesse & Norbert! I'll send you a video of a different version of this rag that my son Jesse plays with Nathan Hanna through YouTube personal messages shortly that I think you may enjoy as well.

...(bad but professional) musician -lead guitars in all styles of music-since 1960 and still, lead my own "string band" (from 14 to 24 musicians). I play -with this recording- electric bass (fender mustang / short scale). I learn "Dill Pickle Rag" about Doc Watson LP'S and it's fun to back-up with Jesse and Norbert. Best wishes from France. Gratulations to the two "banjo stars", for the beautifull picture, for the great sound quality. I discover the "banjo page -or site" on youtube only today, october 14, 2013. My own history in the music business is too long...I beginn tenor banjo in 1959 but in the same time trombone, tuba, string bass...from 1959 to 1975, I was (musically) in my new-orleans jazz periode; from 1973 to 2003, teach music in college in France (civil servant); I teach guitar from 1958 and still; I'm professional....

That's a great clip Jesse/Norbert/Lynne, Golly.... I wish I could get my fingers to move at half the speed that Jesse can! It certainly inspires me to practice. I do like this tune too. I might have to get to work through it with Steve. Great green screen backing too. Smashing view. They'll get frostbite with no jackets on ;-)

Thanks, Mark! Loved your comments! NO motors... I used the best pan out of 3 and clicked stabilization in post for extra assurance. It plays back smoothly on my end too (especially on my iPhone). Hope others are getting the same results! ~Lynne
