@adamcrookedsmile I think it's because someone overdid it with delay/echo after 1:55 making everything sound dissonant.

sounds a little like a skidding tape? The sounds sort of sways in pitch all in one go, if it's just one or two musicians being out of tune it clashes with the rest but here the whole soundscape is a bit off.

I agree in general, and I love the band. I would say that if they had a weakness, it was at lead guitar. My opinion is shared by those who produced them, who were generally unwilling to let her work on their recordings, except vocally.

hmm... In these videos they were a little off tune and off timing. But that doesn't mean it isn't nice! I'm an avid Bangles fan and I think this is one of their best songs, by Debbi, along with Ride the Ride and Be With You. Awesome.

I like Suzanna okay, but I think people in general focused too much on her. I think the talent was evenly distributed among the band members; just never acknowledged that way.

Just another example of Debbi being underrated, Michael holding it all together, Vicki being as pure a rock soul as can be,..and Susanna, (the demise of this great band) Susanna,..useless They were PHENOMINAL
