first album- black metal battle magic- epic symphonic/power metal this album- black/power metal power cosmic- symphonic power metal last album was meh. I think all four before it are standout albums.

un morceau qui date de 1996 et que je découvre, excellente ambiance et bon équilibre entre les instruments et la voix ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas avec le black épique,un bon titre

I think this has more black metal influence Those drums are soo black metal And also, the synth is less audible than the guitars, it plays a more secondary role than in the newer albums, where the synth plays a more primary role

I agree, their early stuff is very dark and metal, but then they started with the more "happy" material which lost a lot of the evil aggression. But on Cthonic Chronicles they recaptured it a little. But I still like all their material in different ways.

I use to like a few battle magic songs , but when you compare them to the early material , is some really lame stuff . Power cosmic most of all. The band clearly loses the real metal dark core of thier first two albums and was never the same again to me. Anyway, if you listen to The Cthonic Chonicles, you can clearaly feel they are trying to bring the old real metal spirit back, not in full shape but good enough for me.

i wish ball sagoth would have done more albums like this and like a Black moon broods over lemuria, they were so dark and epic, but they ended up makign circus kind of stuff like the powe cosmic, and dont understand why.

@Ziufan The lyric booklet in the album is like an epic story book, not always following the song exactly. thats one of the things I love about bal Sagoth, their elaborate and extended lyrical structures. :)
