Paul McCartney 'did' write Badfinger's first hit ("Come And Get it"), but, as far as Apple signing the Raspberries on their label, I cannot find anything on that...except that the Raspberries were the American answer to the British Badfinger!?!? Just as Aerosmith was the American answer to the British Led Zepelin!?!?

I was told when I was young that Paul McCartney wrote their first tune and sent them to the studio, but the producers wouldn't sign them. That is when Paul did it himself and named the band Badfinger as a salute to the record producers. The other band that he also did this with was named the Rasberries. :)

@wwekane2468 - GREAT COMMENT! :) I JUST came here after writing a comment on the Harry Nilsson version of the Peter Ham-penned song "Without You," about how "FORGOTTEN" Badfinger is! I've like Badfinger ever since I bought their "Magic Christian" album when I was six-years-old. I now, after years of searching, have them all. Badfinger is the greatly-forgotten band that shoulda been greatly-lasting! To you and I, they are, but...! I equate them with the Kinks - also underrated!? So sad!?
