@ matttaylor817I think it's referencing the Kyoto Protocol to stop emitting as much carbon emissions, started by the UNFCC in Kyoto. It makes sense given the lines about being taken chemical hostage by petrochemicals.

Nice vid. I think the lyric is "we can't do nothing and think someone else will make it right" rather than "...I think someone else...".

Maybe its because they're pissed off that MOST (no not all, MOST) christians are arrogant pricks who think every1 else should think like them!

Maybe if you read the name of the band everything will make sense

The logo is a silly thing they drew when they were 15 to piss off their parents. Not a lot of thought behind it.

One of them is a Christian. If he isn't offended, I don't see why you should be.

it was invented right when the band started. its like that because it was easy to draw and spray paint on walls :)

it means that religion is not worshiped by them :)

It's the most recognisable religious symbol in the world, and the most familiar to the band, growing up as they did in the USA. Also, who cares if it offends people? A: they're a punk rock band, and B: you have a right to freedom of speech, not freedom from being offended.

The crossbuster means the same thing a no smoking sign does, this is not practiced here. Simple as that.

I know this is just gonna come off as bitchy but it does bug me. If you're going to make a lyrics video get the damn lyrics right. Especially when you go through the trouble to get the hard ones correct, don't fuck up "We can't do nothing; I think someone else will make it right" when it's "We can't do nothing AND think someone else will make it right." Yea it's just one word but it changes the meaning of the sentence entirely. I'm done.

But if you actually pay attention to some of their lyrics, you can clearly see that they do not agree with Christianity. ;)

Religion is mostly fiction, stories told around campfires and written down as folklore and such. Also anyone who is Christian...actually read the bible from front to back, you'll see how gruesome and unforgiving it is.

They embody the idea that institutionalized religion back by indoctrination and dogma, that try to dictate ones action throughout their lives is one of the most destructive factors of modern life, although the symbol was orignally intended to quickly and effectively state this, it was also intended to offend people at a first glance.

"Now the wisdom that sustains us is in full retreat" - it has turned into a rout now.
