Artist : Bad Religion

Song : It's only over when...

Album : Into the unknown (1983)

You never know that feeling till you try

That healing feeling can turn you all about

And you can see the second wave of life

That losers triangle sets you down and out

Don't misread

Don't misread

You could be your only friend

But when the hammer comes down

And you don't hear a sound

You can look all around and see...

That it's only over when you give up!

This is a GREAT LP! I wish Bad Religion would STOP apologizing for "Into the Unknown" and give it a CD reissue...

A lot of the songs in into the unknown have been an influence on the later This one for example has some resemblance to the handshake

That would be awesome, but maybe we should make good covers of this.

This reminds me a lot of tsol's experimental beneath the shadows

So wait, for their second album in 1983, Bad Religion for some reason decided to make a terrible '80s prog record? I had no idea.

its actually really critically acclaimed, the band just hates it because they never took it that seriously, and it was of course hated by the punk scene

God this album rules. Don't know why the hell they were ashamed of doing something radically different.

I will never get why they feel ashamed of this album, it is absolute genius.

was thinking more like Bad Religion meets Rush.

i saw a BR interview, I can't remember who was saying this but one of em said that they were embarassed by this album and that they just wanted it to disapear. Like a bad caserole that you just want to forget about.

Back in 1983, you know Greg and the boys were sitting on a couch somewhere, listening to this the minute after it was recorded, saying "Dude. This is the best thing we've ever done."

Ironically, Into the Unknown got a 4.5/5 start review on Allmusic, better than most other Bad Religion albums.
