A rare live audio of BRs Inner Logic from 1994 release Stranger Than Fiction dubbed to footage of the band performing live. One of my favourite songs - I don't know why they don't play it live, it's better than some of the songs that they play show in, show out.

Make sure to sign and suport the petition to re release Into The Unknown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7Vw2KdNek4

Lyrics:

automatons with business suits clinging black boxes,

sequestering the blueprints of daily life

contented, free of care, they rejoice in morning ritual

as they file like drone ant colonies to their office in the sky

I don't ask questions, don't promote demonstrations,

don't look for new consensus, don't stray from constitution

if I pierce the complexity I won't find salvation

just the bald and over truth

of the evil and deception

there is an inner logic,

and we're taught to stay far from it

it is simple and elegant,

but it's cruel and antithetic

and there's no effort to reveal it

graduated mentors stroll in marbled brick porticos

in sagacious dialog they despise their average ways

displaying pomp and discipline, they mold their institution

where they practice exclusion on the masses every day

decorated warriors drill harmless kids on pavement

simulating tyranny under red alert

protecting the opulent and staging moral standard

they expect redemption of character and self-growth

(no equality, no opportunity,

no tolerance for the progressive alternative...)

@BringBRToTheUK I'm not posting videos of bands that were/are on Atlantic records and Epitaph records, hence your view count jackass

@bedtimefordemocracy You can give me advice when your videos average higher than 90 views.

you should have just uploaded the audio instead of attaching a video that's blatantly not that song

@BringBRToTheUK I agree that the STF and TGR were great albums. Although No Substance was "below par," I think that the song writing on New America went in another direction, which I really enjoy. I think that the album was written by a band that new that they were at a crossroads along with Greg G that personally was at crossroads. The result is great songs like a Whisper in Time. Also, looking back, I am surprised that Greg H and Brian Baker weren't used more for songwriting.

They really should play this live.

So, that would explain why it's never been played live at their shows I went to, even though it's my favorite song off Stranger Than Fiction.

I agree with you on that part. Sorry, I didn't really make my comment that clear, I forget to mention the other albums, what I meant to say was that signing to Atlantic was a Bad Decision, also I wasn't that pleased with them going on MTV, but anyways everyone makes mistakes, but all of the albums they released when they were on Atlantic were still good, it's just that Stranger Than Fiction was probably my favourite when they were on Atlantic.

Totally disagree - No Substance and New America definately are below the rest of the BR albums on quality but Stranger Than Fiction and The Gray Race are as good and perhaps better than some of the releases on Epitaph. Yes you're right it does need to be re released ;) cheers for your signature on the petition by the way.

I guess MTV was better back then, but honestly I think it would have been better if they didn't go on the show. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Bad Religion, but I think in that whole period of time when they were on Atlantic Records the only good thing that happened was the album Stranger Than Fiction. But anyways, other than when they were on Atlantic, I completely respect everything they've done in the career, including Into the Unknown, that needs to be re released.

ya now he just shuts his mouth and riffs it up. This had to be in 1994-1995ish. Back when MTV had stuff that was worth watching.

Is it Bakers? Sometimes the back up ruins the song live. Especially in Sorrow, I think it's Jay in that song.
