The Blue Aeroplanes were asked to contribute to an NME charity album, and cover a Number One single. Gerard's choice (Adam & The Ants' 'Goody 2 Shoes') was vetoed by the band. Their choice (The Archies' 'Sugar Sugar') was vetoed by Gerard. Thus, Bad Moon Rising. This version is from the Town & Country Club (Forum) in London. Rod and Gerard are wearing the Ann Sheldon handpainted shirts first done for Glastonbury 1992. This line-up recorded 'Open' for the 'Life Model' album and some tracks for 'Rough Music' but events would soon conspire against it. The lovely Susie Hug recently released a solo album produced by Fran from Travis.
