Back in my youth I was heavily into punk and hardcore music and Bad Brains was one of my favorite bands at the time. Their music was so damn fast and loud your ears would bleed, but from time to time, if not only to give the guys in the pit a break from the mayhem and moshing, they would play reggae music, the whole band were devout Rastafarians, and it was equally awesome on the other end of the spectrum. Enjoy this song from the Live at CBGB, 1982 album.

Bad Brains and Black Flag were the first bands i got into when i discovered punk. And this is one of the Bad Brains best songs.

Tawny & Flamenco: Very glad you enjoyed it! SelectaGroovy: I actually discovered reggae music through punk with bands like Stiff Little Fingers, the Clash, with their collaborations with Mikey Dread and Lee Perry and the covers they performed of course. While the musical sounds are polar opposites they shared the anti-disestablishment ideologies, fighting against the system, grassroots, very left wing.
