Best original score went to Burt alone. Raindrops was the only song with lyrics (although Hal wrote some for Come Touch The Sun afterwards). Burt actually wrote the title for Raindrops. He is used to writing dummy lyrics that sound right to him, to go with the notation. That line was in there, and Hal couldn't help but keep it. First choice to sing the song was Ray Stevens. Hard to think that anyone could have done a better job than B.J., despite his sore throat on the day
