On this day in 1955 {November 12th} five different versions of "Autumn Leaves" entered Billboard's Top 100 chart: 1. Steve Allen {Peaked at #35} 2. Mitch Miller {#41} 3. Jackie Gleason Orchestra {#50} 4. Victor Young & his Orchestra {#52} 5. The Ray Charles Singers {#55} But earlier in 1955 on August 20th Roger Williams charted with his version; and on October 29th his version peaked at #1 {for 4 weeks}... Only Ray Charles survives, he turned 94 years old this past September 13th...
