Great band! I actually think "Turn up the radio" hurt them. They had so many potential hits, never got any credit, except for that song. Steve Plunketts solo album is AWESOME----- check it out if you like this!

Well said, I never thought of that. All the bands I mentioned formed in the late 70's, which allowed them to create a buzz and then explode on the huge hair metal scene. Autograph formed during the height of the genre's fame, so when they started to turn heads in the music industrya, hair metal was already dying.

They came onto the scene in the mid 80s which meant that by the time they were established as a kickass band, their style of music (hard rock) was out of style in favor of alt. music;esp.grunge.Ironically,this new style of music went out of fashion within a few years due to the popularity of rap,hip hop and R&B. This trend in bad music taste continues to this day, resulting in the synthetic nightmare of modern pop and electronic music and Indie and alt. rock that cant compare to any pre-90s music.

Why this band wasn't as big as Van Halen, Def Leppard, or Motley Crue is beyond me.

Awesome song....totally under-rated band. In the 80's I really didn't hear much about them except for the song turn up the radio.

Steve is a guitar teacher in seattle, he's still around from time to time.

The only thing I don't like is the drummer, he needs to be replaced with Barry Brandt of Angel.
