so-what

ffs of course this is Techno.its got a heavy kick & acid lead.only dipsticks try & be clever renaming genres in the hope it makes them sound good.I've heard a lot of intrepatations of electronic music since bending my ears to Kraftwerk. Its all techno ! Its all stemmed from Techno in some shape or form.

Stop fuking this song with that tags, this music for us, not for the masses.

See earlier comment - the Headmen and Nagamatzu (esp. Shatter Days (1983)), some Attrition I suppose, v. early Chris & Cosey (Trance & Elemental 7 albums).

This is a piece I came back to listen to again. At first I thought it was great background music while I checked out other things. Now I find myself listening closely. Fun stuff !!! DAL

Thanks for your response Lawrence! I missed out on that whole scene in the mid to late 80's. I went from whatever was on the radio to hearing autechre, aphex twin, squarepusher, and the like all at once back in 96-97? Still listening still loving! So much music out there to hear so I do appreciate your recommendations. Especially origins and influences that slipped through the cracks. Take care!

I think I was mainly thinking of tapes by The Headmen - not sure what happened to the guy and unfortunately my Headmen tape is in a box on a different continent at present. It does also remind me of early Nagamatzu / Andrew Lagowski - pardon the testy tone of earlier - just dislike the 'since sliced bread' aspect of musical styles being largely ignored until someone half my age adds some stupid label then tells me they discovered it. Definitely check out Nagamatzu though.

Hey Lawrence! So what were the tapes that you listened to that had this sound? I'd love to check them out! Thanks for sharing :)
