On this day in 1975 {September 13th} Austin Roberts performed "Rocky" on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand Two months earlier on July 19th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #9 and spent 17 weeks on the Top 100 It reached #22 on the United Kingdom's Singles chart Dickie Lee also recorded it in 1975; and on November 22nd his version peaked at #1 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart & spent 14 weeks on the Country chart R.I.P.
