I normally don't post negative comments, but this has to be one of the most God awful renditions I've ever heard. She had to be completely tone deaf with no ear for pitch whatsoever. Someone below compared this to the late, great Kitty Wells' version - PLEASE don't even mention Kitty and Audrey in the same sentence! Who in the world ever told this woman she could sing? Oh yeah, I forgot, she was Hank's wife.

Actually she does a "decent" job, but she´s no singer. What I find real awful here is her falcetto ("wor--ld"). Here singing just makes me appreciate Hank & his music the better. Plus I think the Drifting Cowboys put more effort & feeling into their playing to try to make up for Audrey´s singing, so that´s a bonus.

Why be disrespectful. True it's not the best voice I ever heard, but I've heard worse (in my shower). None of us knows what their marriage was like, we just know the stories. Who cares. I love Hank's music, as well as Hank Jr's. I'm a big fan. I still liked what she sang better than the crap they call Country these days. For all we know that's what Taylor Swift sounds like without all of the audio enhancements. (but now I know why Bonaparte Retreated) Yee haw!!!!

A few bad notes? basic melody? so what when it was sung? so what if it is live and acoustic? She doesn't have the rhythm right, and hardly any good notes. It's not really a matter of opinion, but in music theory, this is wrong!

Ok it is great to know this is a good part of history but if you read a book about Hank's life you will see that even Hank himself didn't like Audrey's singing.The music is great the voice is bad.Also Hank dranked cause of her,as soon as Hank raked in money she went out speading it.She drove Hank crazy and listening to her voice I'd say she would drive anybody crazy.I don't normaly say this about old country music me being a fan but I feel I had to talk about Audry.But Hank is #1.

ok, so she hit a few bad notes, so what. she has the basic melody & the feeling is there & the fact this was sung 50-60 years ago is a miracle to be respected. besides this is real acoustic music & it's live & not studio enhanced with gimmicks. thanks for posting it.
