in response to the age difference...when i was a young fellow, age 17, in england and we listened to ella fitzgerald i said i would like to marry her. why, i was asked, and i said just to have her nearby to hear her singing. forget age, romance does. young dancers now watch and adore his dance routines. he was elegant, smart and really loved women. all women with no respect for age. when you have great artists they can't help being young forever. my uncles tried to copy his dance steps and would compete in the 1930'' s as a source of money to pay necessities. i know that audrey, though a child, had lived a long life which included the nazi war and that really aged people, if they were lucky, since it also killed 20 million people, a large segment of those alive at the time. his image and steps grace the nyc ballet in a special performance which all audiences love. that is, now 2015 so i guess we still, some of us, consider him fresh.

"If you can cook the way you look I'd swim the ocean wide" I don't think a 58 year old man would have have the same success picking up a twenty-something girl with that line today LOL.

Beautiful as this scene is, the inaccuracy in the photo developing technique makes me want to cry.

She probably though, "Wow I get to sing and dance with Fred Astair!" And he probably thought... "WOW, Audrey Hepburn in a movie with me!"

How can Audrey play in movies with men so much older than her like Fred Astaire and Humphrey Bogart, and the romance can still seem genuine and not creepy at all.
