When the lead singer had throat surgery before the Lead Sails Paper Anchor album, people were hoping for the best, though it wasn't like this, it was still great music, and their newest album Congregation Of The Damned (released just 3 or 4 days ago) is by far the best album ever since The Curse! ~Zarek

I have listened to Atreyu since there ep and once they put out Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses I loved their style...and they have gotten progressively lighter every album after...The Curse was a change but I still like the fast screaming songs..A Deathgrip on Yesterday I can still appreciate with his screaming, but lead sails paper anchors was terrible to me. this new album has some awesome songs on it that remind me of the last 2 albums put together

nope they were with Victory and that label had alot of amazing bands on it, then for their last album Lead Sails Paper Anchors they were signed to Hollywood records which is owned by Disney, which is sad as fuck and has the jonas bros and miley cyrus on it...if thats not a sellout I don't know what is, it's too bad there not on roadrunner or someone who focus on metal bands

I miss the harcore screaming of old Atreyu..everything went to shit when they Signed with sellout records I mean hollywood records, this new album better be amazing, I heard there going back to their roots and it's suppose to be a dark and heavy album, but if they let Brandon sing more then they let Alex scream I will be pissed

If there ever really was a genre called emo it was represented by bands like Rites of Spring, Nation of Ulysses, Moss Icon and later Mineral, Knapsack, Gloria Record, Braid, Get Up Kids and Sunny Day Real Estate.
