When you have small children and you still want to expose them to great music, you choose the edited version. Most kids under 10 can't even comprehend all the vulgar language anyway. They'll learn all the uncensored stuff soon enough, but as a parent, if I can prolong the vulgarity and expose them to wonderful music, I don't see a problem with it.

unnecessary censorship just draws unnecessary attention to something that no one is harmed by. it just makes it harder to dispute a matter where its actually needed. kids are fucked up, but a part of the reason is because the y spend a large chunk of their lives sheltered, only to become arrogant little pricks who think that they know everything. when your lied to or shielded from too much, its easy to become fixated on your opinions alone once you find out a little truth.
