That's Jay Ashby on trombone. I saw Astrud Gilberto in about the mid-1990's with a great band, and I remember Jay Ashby really stealing the show. The show I saw featured nice jazzy arrangements of many of my favorite Bossa and MPB classics.

Ive heard other people and groups do this song and at different speeds...and I always come back to Astrud Gilberto because her interpretation and phrasing are perfect for this song. If I had to go one better,It would be when she did it with Stanley Turrentine and Toots Thielemans from her self titled album on CTI 1971
