Perfection!!!! The Paradise Garage and Larry's mix was everything, period… the crowd was lifted on the lush instrumental genius that was Ashford and Simpson, OMG an out of body experience! A priceless experience...

growing up in the SOUTH BRONX at this time & as you can see on the video as the record plays, it says ASHFORD & SIMPSON tho we really knew it was always "VALERIE" (LOL) cause she was HEAD WRITER & HE WAS JUST A CO-PILOT TO HER GENIUS (LOL)but anyways . . . . . she was the GENIUS WRITER & PRODUCER & people keep 4Gettin'VALERIE was in the MOTOWN CLASS of ARETHA, GLADYS & FLORENCE BALLARD(of the SUPREMES) & TAMMY & they were the most powerful female musicians of MOTOWN at the time & i always argue with people that "VALERIE SIMPSON" created themonster & genius of "MARVIN" & i dare any of you to challenge my point cause im 80%right on many things all day everyday (TRUST-N-BELIEVE) as i tell yall "VALERIE SIMPSON" helped the monster that made "MARVIN" & i can easily show yall how.

Only familiar with the Gladys Knight and the Pips version that reminds me of high school.

One of my favorite songs period! The arrangement and rythm of this song is amazing. The "Hustle" was big, back when this song came out, and I remeber watching people dance to it at the "Clubhouse" in Washington, DC. They use to get in on this song!

An instrumental masterpiece. It has the vibe of New York City at the time in 1977 along with "Native New Yorker."
