Support Arthur Brown's new album

This is a rare clip of Arthur performing I put a Spell on you and Nightmare from a 1968 TV Programme about Gerald Scarfe the artist. Please have in mind there is precious little footage of Arthur from the 60s in existence so every scrap is a treasure in its own right.

I've wondered what could've been if the Crazy world of Arthur Brown hadn't broken up and had managed to put out more material. Especially in the early 1970s. *sigh*...

Thumbs up if you think people are too stupid to figure out the difference between "copied" and "influence". Hint: people who are "influenced" freely admit it, just like Coop does. Just like Manson was influenced by Cooper, Cooper was influenced by Brown and Screamin' Jay Hawkins.

Copied is such a juvenile term, especially if you are trying to garnish support for what you think is some sort of revelation that is surely your own. It is called an HOMAGE. MANY artists have CITED Arthur Brown as an INSPIRATION.

Fun fact: Arthur was inspired by Screaming Lord Sutch who was inspired by Screaming Jay Hawkins. SJH is credited as the first shock rocker. No shock Arthur here is covering SJH's signature song.

Thumbs up if you think Arthur Brown wasn't the first person to paint his face and sing, and that none of this shit matters in the comment section.

@darera2001 Alice specifically said that he did so. Arthur Brown was a guest star at Alice's concert at Alexandra Palace last October, and Alice introduced him saying exactly this.

@darera2001 First off, the word you're looking for is influenced. Arthur's theatrics may have predated Cooper's, but not only is Cooper's songwriting style different, he developed his own unique act. Arthur Brown's the god of hellfire, when Alice Cooper's the villain of rock n' roll. Secondly, Cooper has not only acknowledges Brown's influence, but he also featured Brown in his Halloween Night of Fear show on October 29th, 2011.
